- My name is Cassie Beserra. I married my best friend Eddie on August 29, 2004. I have always said we are better at being friends than being husband and wife. I am also a mother of twins. One in heaven and one here with me. My daughter Sophia Rene passed away on March 11th, 2008 at 20 weeks gestation due to complications from Turners Syndrome, Hydops and Cystic Hygroma. She put up an amazing fight which I personally believe saved her twin sister Mya's life. Sophia and Mya were born on June 30th, 2008. Mya has been my rock. Though she does not know it she has given me the drive to keep going. That little girl does nothing but amaze me and I love her to pieces for that. I started Walk to Remember, Los Angeles in memory of my daughter Sophia Rene Beserra in May 2010. My hope is to build Walk to Remember, Los Angeles to be a place for family and friends who have lost a child as I have to celebrate thier children as they feel necessary.
I wish I could attend. I'm actually from Southern Cali (orange county). I lost a daughter almost 9 months ago and it's been extremely difficult! I'm truly sorry for your loss, nobody should ever have to go through something like this but it's very honorable what you are doing!
